Greetings! My name is Patrick Bertrand. I am the new sixth grade math teacher at Morehead City Middle School. I have taught middle school science, reading, and ELA the past six years in Michigan. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with middle school certification in math and science. I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan in 2001 with honors (Cum Laude).
I am married to a wonderful lady named, Kathleen Bertrand, a sixth grade math teacher at Newport Middle School. We have been together for 16 delightful years. We have two wonderful children, Jack (6) and Lydia (4). I have a dog named Chase, a border collie who loves to herd my son.
I enjoy roller blading, hiking, sports, reading, painting, and hanging out with my family. This is my second occupation (U.P.S. – 13 years), so I’m really enjoying working with kids!
